In 2006 Peter Garrod became a Business Broker, prior to which he was a Business Consultant advising foreign investors wanting to invest and manage businesses within the US. This advice included, valuations, negotiating purchase offers, contracts, due diligence, business set up, accounting, licensing etc. The success of his business brokering has been built on his professionalism, dedication, business ownership knowledge and experience, a clear understanding of business financials and the belief that honesty, mutual trust, confidence and motivation creates a relationship between parties that will progress to a successful conclusion. He offers a truly unique service to both seller's and buyer's: offering sellers confidentiality and sound advice on positioning their business for sale to achieve top market value, with invaluable guidance throughout the selling process; and offering buyers confidentiality, outstanding purchasing advice, guidance throughout the buying process, and direction for a successful transition at closing.
Peter moved to the USA from the UK in 1992. His successful businesses in the United Kingdom included farming, contracting and conservation companies, after which he spent 24 years in Florida owning and operating an Auto Repair business, became a certified ASE Auto Technician, started a successful Uhaul Dealership, owned a Gas Station and a Commercial Cleaning Company, before moving to the Asheville area of North Carolina.
Peter has always loved sport and spent 18 years playing rugby in England. In Florida he started and operated a stock car late model racing team for 10 years. He built race cars and sponsored the local Police and Sheriffs "Stock Car" racing teams, who raced to raise funds for the local youth ranch for "at risk" kids.
Having both been raised in the English Countryside, Peter and his wife Jane, fell in love with Asheville and the North Carolina Mountains several years ago and have made it their home for the long term future.
